Little scene of German soldiers defending a entrance to the Berlin underground. During the battle there were fights under the ground too. Design based in Flickr's user HISTORY BRICKS design.

Festung Holland

May 10th 78 years ago the German army started his 5 days long campaign against the Netherlands.
For the first time mass paratroops drops were used. Fallschirmjägers were used to secure airfields and bridges until regular troops came to use them. Even Allied help coming from French army was promised Netherlands fell fast and even they fought well and were brave they had no choice when Germany attacked Rotterdam using bombers causing lots of destruction. Intense battles were fought in Rotterdam and near The Hague.

My little scene Festung Holland

Here is a little scene remembering the invasion. Falschirmjägers with some Dutch PoWs in a captured bridge over a Dutch river.

Fallschirmjägers with their prisoners

For this little scene I used slopes to make it look better.

To make the minifigs I used standard Lego torsos and legs and BrickArms stuff. Some parts are painted with acrilic paint.

Dutch marine (left) and regular army soldier. As weapons I used Arisakas

Fallschirmjägers
The vehicle is a SdKfz 232 8 Rad. If you are interested on building it you can watch the video I made with the instructions here :

Welcome to my blog !

Welcome to my blog ! Here I will post about my Lego collection and dioramas giving it some history facts that will make it better and more enjoyable to see. It's something I don't see Flickr or Instagram useful for so I decided to create my own blog. The name is based in the German WW2 newsreel called Die Deutsche Wochenschau. Large dioramas will be reviewed here too and I will upload videos on Youtube too with lots of photos of them as I did with the last one ( https://youtu.be/PRAwqdmsiRg ). Don't expect too many post but you can expect them to be great !
