WWII Minifigs: The Battle of Berlin

Welcome back to my blog. Today I'm proud to show you the minifigs I created for some WW2 Battle of Berlin MOCs I plan to build. This idea and inspiration came to me just a few days ago so this time I didn't plan the video and the minifigs with the same time I spent for previous videos but I think the quality is still very quality and you will enjoy the minifigs I'm about to show you. First we will start with the Soviet army. Minifigs are kinda simple but there wasn't any army in the war with the uniform variations/options the Germans had. As long as I know they didn't even come close.

Here there is a Soviet standard soldier and an officer. WIth a blue cap it could be a NKVD officer too. Cap is from AliExpress and the arm is from CrazyBricks. Has hand-painted legs and a Tokarev TT-33 from BrickArms. The soldier wears a coat from AliExpress and a SVT-40 from them too.

More soldiers with different caps and weapons. Pilotka cap is from a closed BrickLink store. Ushanka with the red star is from BrickArms. Mosin Nagant is from BA too and hand-painted by me. Some soldiers use coats and others use the Telogreika. I used the amazing Roaglaan Decals to create them.

Turn for the German army. First you can see the SS (Schutzstaffel) officer. There were many SS troops in this battle and they defended the famous Reichstag. Torso and legs are from AliExpress and cap is from 7Toys7. Hands need some glue in these specific torsos so they don't fall.

Now regular SS soldiers.

Now turn for standard Wehrmacht soldiers. Torsos from Citizen Brick and gear weapons and helmet from BrickArms.

Next ones are the Volksgrenadier infantry. Volksgrenadier divisions were created in late 1944 to replace lost units aiming to use men and teenagers that would be too old or too young for the regular divisions of the Wehrmacht. Don't confuse them with the Volkssturm units. Volksgrenadiers were suposed to keep the firepower an standard division had. Coat is from Valiant Bricks. So useful to recreate many kind of soldiers from different eras. Amrs from CrazyArms. Cap from a (sadly) closed Bricklink store.

Now Volkssturm. They were armed civilians so basically almost every torso and hat that fits the 40s in Europe is useful. Gun is a MP-18 from AliExpress. Cap is from BrickWarriors and the cigarette I forgot where I got it from. Will update the info if I find out in the future.

Painted boots and torso from Indiana Jones' father from a Lego set.

Hitlerjugend. In the desperation of the last days of the war the Nazi government used kids to defend the cities. Here I represent 2 of them. They are inspired by the kids that appear in the amazing film Der Untergang from 2004. Skirt represents a coat. I bought it from Firestar Toys. Panzerfausts are from AliExpress and cap is from the Swiss shop Brickssoldier.

Notice legs are shorter. They are the medium height legs from Lego.

Next one is a German sniper. Wears a Splinter Camo Zeltbahn poncho from Valiant Bricks. Under it wears a piece of cloth I painted years ago to recreate a coat. The sniper Kar 98k is from AliExpress.

Now the Fallschirmjäger. There were some in the Battle of Berlin. Helmet is from Brickssoldier. Body from AliExpress. Arms are from Lego. One of my favourite minifigs from here. I will try to create more of them in the future and do a MOC with them.

FG-42 gun is from BrickArms and is hand-painted by me.

Last ones are two crew members of a Panzer tank. Torsos are from Brickizimo. Cap from Brickssoldier. Arms from CrazyArms.

Camo legs are hand-painted by me

And that was all guys! Hope you like them as much as I do. In the future I think I will be able to improve them when I get more stuff. There were some units too left behind like the many Kriegsmarine or SS foreigners troops that participated in the battle. Time will say!
